When and where is this year’s Walk?

Saturday, May 11th at 8am at the Detroit Zoo, located at 8450 W 10 Mile Rd, Royal Oak, MI 48067

How much does it cost to attend the Walk?

Advance registration for adults is $40, and at-the-door registration is $45 on event day. Kids are FREE, and law students are $30.

What’s included in the cost of registration?

Zoo entry, parking, refreshments, prizes, activities, and access to the silent auction are all included in the registration fee.

I can’t attend the Walk, but how can I still support the cause?

You can make a donation on our website or send a check payable to William Booth Legal Aid Clinic to our office at 3737 Lawton, Detroit, MI 48208.

Can people sponsor me as a walker when I register?

Absolutely! You can download and print pledge forms here. The person who earns the highest pledge total for the Walk will also win a prize.

What items are available at the silent auction?

You can get a sneak peek of our auction items here.

How can I win prizes?

You can win prizes at the Walk in two ways:

  1. Every walker will be entered to a raffle for a chance to win a door prize.
  2. The walker with the highest pledge total will also win a prize.

How far is the Walk?

There is no set distance for the walk, so you’re free to walk as far and as long as you feel. With your registration, you’ll have access to all open areas of the zoo.

What will my registration fee be used for?

Your registration will help the William Booth Legal Aid Clinic continue to offer free legal services to those living at or below the poverty line, Veterans of the U.S. military, and those struggling with addiction. The clinic helps those in need with cases related to homelessness, domestic violence, family law, and more. You can learn more about the clinic and our history here.
